Intro | General Rules | Boys Dress Code | Girls Dress Code

A student’s dress and general appearance reflect an attitude towards school. You can help by making sure your child is properly attired before leaving home. Neatness and cleanliness is important to the development of future adults who will bear themselves with dignity.

Appropriate dress is a reflection on the child’s home and school. Much consideration was given to the development of The Hebrew Academy Dress Code. The selection of clothing items reflects a clean and modern look, within the guidelines and dictates of Tzniut (laws of modesty). We need your cooperation to insure that our students adhere to the school guidelines and be respectful of the school culture.

All students from grades Kindergarten through 8th are required to wear school dress code. Do not send your child to school if he/she is not dressed to code. Students will not be allowed in class unless properly attired in The Hebrew Academy dress code as per the guidelines below. Should a student arrive improperly dressed, he/she will be sent to the office to wait until his/her parents come to school with a change of clothing. Repeated occurrences of non-compliance may result in detention or suspension of the student.

Following are the guidelines for the dress code set by The Hebrew Academy. It is noted wherever an item is supplied by Land’s End. Enclosed you will find the Land’s End catalog for your information and use. All Land’s End items are guaranteed and may be returned for an exchange or a refund. You may also order online at landsend.com/school. Some Land’s End items are also available at all Sears Department Stores. If Sears does not have the item in stock, it can be ordered, and you will not be charged for shipping.

Land’s End has a policy rewarding each participating school with 3% cash back for the school. Use the Preferred School Number #9001-1808-4 (located on the back of your catalog) for ordering from both the catalog and website.

 General

Jackets, coats, hats and caps, other than kippot, are not to be worn in the building.

If uniform items are not purchased through our official uniform provider (Land’s End), then the clothing items must be identical in specific colors, style and material. No embellishments, emblems, writings (logos or brand names) will be accepted.

All students are expected to be clean and well groomed at all times. The school administration will be the final judge as to the acceptability of any student’s grooming, appearance and adornments.

We hope participating in this project will make your school uniform shopping more convenient and less expensive
