Tips for Parents
Student Absences: Parents are expected to call the school before 9:00 am to report student absences. Call 845-634-0951 and leave a message.
Parent Calls to Students: Except in cases of emergency, parents are asked not to telephone the students through the school office as such calls interrupt office staff. If you need to call because of an emergency, we will take a brief message and attempt to get the message to your child.
Student Use of Phones: Student use of office phones are limited to emergencies only.
Schedule Information: Our announcement line is reached by calling 845.634.0951. Messages are posted as-needed with changes in dismissal times, emergency closings, , changes to bus schedules, and other information you may need to know during the course of the day. It will be updated as necessary, and so in the event of bad weather, you may want to check it several times.
Emergency Closings: When weather conditions are such that a school closing seems possible, parents can access school closing information via radio, telephone and the website.
