We need your support! Would you like to help out? We are looking for class parents.
The Class Parents' time and effort are greatly appreciated by the children, teachers and other parents, and improves the school community for all.
The role of Class Parent does not extend to issues relating to teaching or issues with individual students. Parents should talk to teachers individually regarding their own child.
Class parent responsibilities:
Each class has at least one (1) parent. A Class Parent serves as a liaison between the classroom teachers and the parents; every Class Parent should be cognizant of their responsibility toward the other parents, the teachers, and the school.
Class Parent responsibilities include:
- Supporting your grade-level teacher. This may include volunteering for or finding volunteers for field trips, planning and arranging school social events (for ex. year end picnic, etc.).
- Supporting school events, such as the Family BBQ, Math Evening, etc., Purim Baskets, Rosh Chodesh treats, or other school events by volunteering or finding volunteers from your class.
- Assists with implementing teachers’ token of appreciation and teacher’s gift (as appropriate).
