Chanukah Gift Drive

Written by

Dear Parents,

Life at The Hebrew Academy continues to be alive and vibrant with the excitement of learning in and out of the classroom. We are sure that if you have spoken to your child/ren, walked through the halls of the school, or attended any school activities you have witnessed this excitement first-hand.

This learning could not take place without the dedication, commitment and patience of our devoted teachers and administration. We are continually impressed with their skills, selflessness, and commitment to our children. They instill in our students a deep sense of learning and truly fulfill our vision of Torah learning, helping them successfully engage the world through the prism of Torah. We are confident you are as thankful as we are that our children spend their days with such knowledgeable and compassionate professionals.

As Chanukah draws near, please join us in showing Hakarat Hatov to our teachers in thanks for their hard work in caring for our children by contributing to the Chanukah Gift Drive. Please understand that this money will be given directly to the teachers, divided evenly, and is not a donation to the school. The recommended donation amount is $36 per child. This amount will include administration, Secular, Judaic and any specialty teachers that the children have on a regular basis – Physical Education, Music, Computers and Art.

Please send in the money by Friday, Dec. 12 so PTA will have enough time to organize distribution before Chanukah. Please write your child's name on the envelope together with “Chanukah Gifts for Teachers” and indicate your child(ren)’s grade. You may also want to email us to notify us that you are sending in the money and we will ask your child for it, so there won’t be any mix-ups! Please put Chanukah Gift in subject box. If you are sending in a check, please make it out to The Hebrew Academy.

Thank you for your support of our children.

Best wishes for a very Happy Chanukah.

Kind Regards,

Nechama Fish and Corrinne Morlevi,
The Hebrew Academy PTA Co-Presidents

Grandparents Day Thank You!

Written by

Dear Parents,

Today's Grandparents (Special Person) Day was a huge success! Thank you to the many volunteers who helped make it so:

  • Mrs. Nechama Fish, Dedicated PTA President Extraordinaire who went way beyond her duties and hours (!) preparing for this day.
  • Mrs. Melissa Apter, Mrs. Chaya Bruk, Mrs. Frimet Goldberger, Mrs. Corinne Morlevi, Mrs. Alison Reiser, and Mrs. Chanie Rosenbluh. If we have inadvertently omitted your name, we apologize. We thank you, too!

A very big thank you to the teachers who shared a very enjoyable lesson with the visiting grandparents.

The teachers show such dedication and care every school day, but today the grandparents got to see it with their own eyes. The grandparents were able to witness the high level of academics and personalized attention their grandchildren (and grandchildren!) receive at The Hebrew Academy.

Thank you!
