The Holocaust, Planets and Teepees

By: Mrs. Kestenbaum
Secular Studies Teacher, 4th Grade

The Fourth Grade encapsulated:

Since September we have read a few novels and after each one we have created a work of art which we have on display in our room.  Early on we studied the 'first Americans.'  The 'Native Americans' had many traditions which were connected to nature. They were our first recyclers!  We made leather teepees, which we decorated with our own personalized symbols.  They are on display in our room.

We have recently painted four planets, but instead of their traditional names, we created our own blends.  They are now embellished and our hanging in our room.

We have enjoyed creating original poems and created names of our own planets.
